Yet Another Effort
Crashed and Crushed: Tried but trying/ And I feel like dying/ I've come untied and I'm unhinged/ Don't know if I'll be back again/ I could not find a friend and I was was at the end/ My train went off its track and the world was fading to black. Not for Nothing Airlines: They charged for the seat/ But it wasn't complete/ So they charged for a blanket as well/ Welcome to traveler's hell/ They charged for the nuts/ For two seats for big butts/ The poorest part of Africa has far more luxurious huts than clot-inducing coach class/ Dear afflicted lass, sneezing and coughing all the way/ But for that immunity system test at least, the airline doesn't make you pay/ Shoe in back and elbow striking head/ The carrier can't get out of the red/ Fee for this, charge for that/ One thousand bucks to carry your cat/ If the market would bear,/ They'd charge you for air. No Back down Man: I need no protection/ I defy convention/ I don't vie for affection/ I don't take direction/ I don't declare my intention/ And I'm as real as can be/ I live free. (The three previous posts were composed on February 2, 2009). Ethereal Presence: There flies the lowland meadow sprite/ There flits the fairy in dark night/ There the seraphim gather in flight/ An oft occurrence but unseen sight/ And in the gloaming as darkness dampens/ Mere mortals know not what magic happens. War Chant: There is something tribal in the offing/ Something tribal in the air/ There is no time for scoffing/ But there is plenty to fear. (Last two verses were first offered on February 12, 2009).
