Cordite and Flint

Oh the many ways, clever ways, man has conceived for so many generations to destroy his fellow man/ From rock or club to gun and knife/ What the domestic abuser visits upon his terrified wife/ Kill and bury or burn to a crisp with incendiary/ Chemical or biological warfare not enough, here's an A-bomb to do the stuff/ If half the energy used to develop murder machines was spent on gentler things/ We'd all be living in Utopia now/ All that creativity spent on arrows, cordite, and flint
